You are invited to meet our colleagues from Lugera – The People Republic, to discover their stories and to learn from their experiences. Any questions or curiosities? Leave us a comment below and we will gladly answer it!
1. How long have you been with Lugera – The People Republic?
My journey on Lugera Way began 7 years ago when I decided to come to a first interview. I still remember that my first meeting was with Alina Sandu, the consultant that helped me understand the story of Lugera and where the joy of people comes from 😊. The people here are the ones who made me take the offer to be part of their family and they welcomed me with open arms. I already knew the projects were complex and would involve a lot of determination on my part, but the dynamism and the energy that I felt here, the team always doing pranks and the perspectives offered by the manager at that time (Sorin Popescu), gave me a lot of confidence.
In October, 2010, I took over the role of an extraordinary and complex project, Nokia. It was the most challenging project I have ever worked on. I learned from recruitment, accounting, KPI, payroll, Social Media to managing tough situations, motivating my team, but more than that, I learned how to be closer to people and how to help them.
2. What’s the most WOW thing that we don’t know about you ?
I’m into sports, especially snowboarding and downhill. Whenever I have the chance, during winter weekends, I’m taking over the slopes in the north of the country and during summer, I’m running away from the heat in the mountains, on a bike, looking for the best line for downhill or hiking. About a year ago I discovered a new passion: motorcycles – I have a touring motorcycle and now I’m preparing for a longer race – Austria, Zillertal region.
3. What’s your way to relax at the end of the day?
It depends very much on the year, but I usually choose to relax in nature or practicing different sports. I play football twich a week and at least twice a month, basketball. Now, I have a new goal: to participate and finish an Ironman – one of the most toughest test of physical and mental endurance.
For the next year, I want to participate in a Half Ironman….so, recently, together with some of my Lugera colleagues, I’m testing my own limits running through Baneasa forest.
4. What’s your last post on Facebook?
I usually post pictures about sport activities or from meetings with my friends from Cluj and, sometimes, from different events just to recommend them to others. One of my last post was the one from Formula 1 – an experience that I recommend to everyone, at least once in a lifetime: the atmosphere, the grandeur of the circuit, the sound of the cars and even the smell of fuel and rubber create an unforgettable experience.
5. What do you like most about your job?
I like the diversity of work that awaits me everyday, the fact that it’s a very dynamic and challenging job, which makes me explore and take advantage of my abilities to the maximum. Having clients from very diverse domains, hardly a day goes by without learning new things… and it keeps on the right track. At the same time, my colleagues are an important source of inspiration and motivation… I am very lucky to work with all departments from business lines to Legal, IT, Finance or Marketing and we have a lot of challenges to face… from daily activities to new strategies to improve and reinvent or automate certain processes.
6. Who and what inspires you?
I learned the most from the people I met… and I had the opportunity to work with the best HR people in the country, but also with other specialists from different fields. I also find my inspiration in personal development books. Some of my favorite authors are Bryan Tracy, Alan Pease, whom I also met, Dale Carnegie, Charles Duhigg.
I have always been focused on personal and professional development, so I’m constantly trying to learn from all the difficult situations I have encountered and every challenge I have overcome has helped me develop new abilities. I think the secret is to focus on improving yourself, to understand that failure is part of the process and we should never give up despite the obstacles that may arise.
7. How lucky are you and why?
I’m a lucky man! I do what I like, I surround myself with people from whom I take the energy and the optimism that help me enjoy everyday with a smile. I had the opportunity to do many things for my soul… travels give me wings, bring me joy and teach me to dare more 😊. I have been able to travel to Asia, to visit Europe, to explore different cultures and to meet people with different lifestyle.
8. Tell us about your day using a movie title.
Any given Sunday, is the chosen one.
9. If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into your office, what would it be?
I really like Maroon 5 and Coldplay, but I think the song that really energizes every time is The Naked And Famous – Young Blood.
