For our client, a company with expertise in the area of engineering, project management, assembly and after-sales services for commercial and industrial refrigeration industry, we are looking for a Financial Controller.
Description
Developing, coordinating, and maintaining the reporting package, including the aggregated profit and loss account, balance sheet accounts, monthly expense and revenue statements per project/client, as well as other specific reports and analyses related to sales, costs, and investments, along with the corresponding control system;
Supervising the preparation of analysis reports for the company’s key projects (budget vs. actual performance per project) and proposing measures to optimize their profitability both during their execution and upon completion;
Participating in the preparation of the company’s annual budget;
Coordinating and overseeing the preparation of supporting files necessary for recording accounting entries during month-end closing, including accruals, provisions, and other required adjustments;
Centralizing and verifying information and reports received from other departments in the monthly reporting process, identifying potential issues in business processes, and proposing solutions for their correction;
Monitoring and analyzing key liquidity, solvency, and profitability indicators of the company and recommending actions to improve financial performance;
Identifying cost optimization opportunities and monitoring the company’s activity and results by profit centers;
Providing information, analyses, and recommendations to the management team regarding current performance versus financial planning;
Reviewing the reporting package periodically and proposing new or improved reports based on the company’s analysis and control needs;
Proposing and implementing improvements in work instructions and procedures impacting both the financial-accounting area and other business processes.
Requirements
University degree in Economics;
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the MS Office suite;
A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or controlling;
Experience with an integrated ERP system is an advantage;
Other professional development courses in financial accounting, controlling, or reporting is a plus;
Possessing excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
