For our client, a multinational company, in the oil and gas industry, we are looking for a General Ledger Accountant.
Description
Managing GL activities with a focus on bank statements, ensuring accurate and timely period-end closures;
Updating and maintaining procedures, training materials, and process documentation;
Ensuring compliance with internal regulations and controls to maintain accuracy and efficiency;
Preparing provisions, calculations, analyses, and statutory returns while collaborating with stakeholders;
Compiling standard returns and assisting with complex financial calculations and reporting;
Conducting research for senior staff, identifying and correcting errors, and proactively resolving issues;
Supporting experts and managers in complex financial tasks, optimizing processes, and proposing innovative solutions;
Investigating financial issues and recommending risk mitigation strategies;
Managing relevant data and systems, generating reports, and assisting with audit requests.
Requirements
A Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance or a related field;
3 to 5 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of IFRS, general accounting principles, and financial reporting;
Previous experience working with SAP and advanced Excel skills;
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
Strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a collaborative, solution-oriented attitude.
